Bhupendra (Ben) Sethia is an accomplished entrepreneur and mentor with a proven track record of delivering exceptional ROI through his leadership. He lives and breathes his motto “Learn. Earn. Return” on many levels.
On a personal level, Ben espouses his motto with his never-ending quest for learning. He has 12 professional qualifications, including an MBA, CMA, CPA, FBAA, and GCTE. He authored “Mastering Tax, BAS and Payroll” which is used in university classrooms.
On a professional level, he has contributed to the education ecosystem for 15 years through senior leadership and executive roles at several universities in Australia, including the University of Melbourne, RMIT, and Victoria University. His work in Micro and Meso credential programs at RMIT and worked with UNESCO, Blackmores and the World Bank at the University of Melbourne.
Ben has established the Sethia Group of companies, which operates in five sectors: Property, Finance, Education, Retail, and Health. Karts & Kraft is a new venture with a vision to acquire 50 outlets over the next 3 years and redefine retail. Convergence Finance provides personalised financial services to meet the growing requirements of homeowners and small and medium-sized businesses. Finbeat Finance is the only lender in Australia that provides car loans to international students and temporary visa holders.
In 2023, both JITO Australia and Nexus Developments were named finalists by IABCA (India Australia Business & Community Alliance) in the categories of Community Services Excellence and Excellence in Trade and Investment, respectively. Nexus shared the stage with companies like Telstra, OLA, and ASUS. In 2022, Ben was honoured among the “Top 100 Indians in Australia” for his entrepreneurial achievements and initiated and organised the Australia-India Business Summit in response to the Australia-India Economic Cooperation Agreement.
